BoBo - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how BoBo (the "Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the BoBo mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"), in compliance with applicable United States privacy laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), and Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

By using the Service, you ("User" or "You") consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. This Policy applies to all users of the Service, including users who access the Service without creating an account (as the Service does not require account registration or login).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the Service, including:

• User-Generated Content: Photos of your nail art designs, notes about polish brands, color numbers, costs, wear duration, style categorizations (season/occasion), and other text-based content you input into the App.
• Reminder Data: Information related to reminders you set for touch-ups and nail removal, including dates, times, and notification preferences.
• Contact Information: If you contact us for support or feedback, we may collect your email address (if provided) and any other information you choose to include in your communication.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage patterns, including:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (UDID), mobile network information, and IP address.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, such as features used, time spent on the App, screen views, and navigation paths.
• Location Information: We do not collect precise geolocation data unless you explicitly grant permission. If granted, we may collect approximate location data (based on IP address) solely to provide location-relevant features (e.g., seasonal categorization based on your region). You may disable location services at any time through your device settings.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We do not collect information about you from third-party sources, as the Service does not integrate with social media platforms, third-party authentication services, or other external data providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including core functionality such as storing your nail art data, generating timelines, and sending reminders.
• To personalize your experience with the Service, such as tailoring content and features to your preferences and usage patterns.
• To respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and address any issues you may encounter with the Service.
• To analyze usage trends and optimize the performance and usability of the Service.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our User Agreement.
• To protect the security and integrity of the Service and our users.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, nor do we sell your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes, as defined by the CCPA.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Storage

All information collected through the Service is stored locally on your device by default. If you choose to enable cloud backup (if available), your data may be stored on secure servers operated by our trusted cloud service providers, located in the United States.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. You may delete your data at any time by removing content from the App or uninstalling the App from your device.

4.2 Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of sensitive data, secure data storage practices, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, and you use the Service at your own risk.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your information in the following circumstances:

• With Your Consent: We may disclose your information if you give us explicit permission to do so.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
• Protection of Rights: We may disclose your information to protect our rights, property, or safety, as well as the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the App of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
• Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud storage providers, analytics providers). These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing the requested services and to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA Compliance)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA:

• Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share the information.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete any personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., if we need to retain the information to comply with legal obligations).
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights, including by denying you access to the Service, charging you different prices or rates, or providing you with a different level or quality of service.
• Right to Opt-Out: As we do not sell your personal information, the right to opt-out of sales does not apply. However, you may opt-out of certain data collection by adjusting your device settings (e.g., location services, camera access).

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
